The Brief

The company is Auto Aficionado

We are looking for a logo that is sophisticated, simple and unique to use on our website, print material and potentially shirts, hats and key fobs.

We’re interested in a logo that is either a combination mark or a pictorial mark that includes the name Auto Aficionado but is not incorporated into the logo as in a combination mark logo.

Who we are:
We find special cars, restore them, customize them, drive them and occasionally sell them. Our clients buy cars from us or ask us to find, restore or hand build the car they always wanted. We take joy in every element, from the perfect machining of a valve guide to the fine tuning of a performance suspension, or the final polishing of a new paint job. A special car can bring out something in a person they don’t get to be every day.

If the right person slips behind the wheel of an old Ferrari, he becomes the guy who drives the Ferrari, who appreciates the work of the artisan who crafted it. This is a person who loves the sound, a person who stretches the limits of performance, who brakes late, and shifts fast, who sees the subtle as well as the brash. If instead, she climbs into an old pick-up truck, the driver takes on that aspect, loads up lumber or bales of hay, and gets work done on the house or the farm or the garden. The same person can try on a muscle car, a classic, a luxury car and find in her or himself that expression which lines up perfectly with the car they wear.

Target Audience

Our target customers are:
-Middle to upper middle class people
-Mostly people who live in the suburbs and/or own a second home
-They have at least 100K in investments, probably more
-They may or may not be highly educated, but they are people who like knowledge
-Many will be retired
-They appreciate quality. 
-Many of them will have collections or particular fascinations already, i.e.,
(Pens, Watches, Clothes, Cigars, Wine, Whiskey, Art, Tools, Memorabilia)

-Some will be museum or theater goers, but not all.

-They have the temperament of an aficionado, they learn about the things they like and
study them.

-Many will have a story about the cars they are interested in, first car, first date, the one
their cousin had they they always wanted, many are looking to repeat or recreate their own
pasts

-They may be intrigued with the idea of a vehicle that goes up in value
Or they may not care at all and simply want what they want

Logo Requirements

Logosauce Standard Final Art Requirements: Vector artwork in Pantone SPOT, CMYK, RGB and BW versions. Files should be saved in Adobe Illustrator .ai or .eps file formats with all strokes converted to objects and fonts pathed/outlined. Other file formats may be acceptable in exceptional circumstances. We are looking for a logo that will hold up in black & white, single color or in full color.
