Hi, can you clarify if you would like a full 3D model made in a modelling program, manipulated photoshop image turning your car into a Pixar version or a hand drawn sketch/caricature?

Thanks,
Chris

Full 3D model. A $$$ bonus to anyone who goes above the call of duty and makes it fully animated and in a short animated skit peeling out on Van Nuys Boulevard.

A simple search online for the movie Corvette Summer starring Mark Hamill in 1978 will provide a wealth of information on the Stingray and Itunes and Amazin have the movie available for streaming to watch. And, yes I own the actual car from the movie.

Ar you looking for a low poly version for game use or a high poly model for more detailed rendering?

RCD:

High poly. The candy apple red paint job and orange/yellow flames have metal flakes in it. Would be nice to see that glitter in the paint on the car.

Designers please note the unique hood scoop and front clip of the Vette and the unique rear clip and bow tie tail lights on the Stingray in your designs. These are unique to this Vette and must be incorporated in your car design.

The front clip and lower spoiler give a great profile for a mouth with the big front hood scoop as a nose. Just a suggestion.
The color of the car is candy apple red with metal flakes with tangerine orange and yellow flames.

Thanks

Hi Rick

I’m sorry this is just my thoughts. 3D modeling is a very different section with logo design and i think it’s hard to achieve that purpose inside logosauce. I would suggest to give designers chance to create it with all of the creativity they have. Then if you like how the character look, that’s the one you pick as winner. But then the $$$ bonus you mentioned, is for those who can turn it to 3D and animate that.

Thanks,
eL

El, yes if a designer goes out of the way and makes an animated short, there will be a nice bonus.

The original t-tops had a two inch red boarder around them as shown on the attached photo. The mirror t-tops are replacements.

Hi Rick,

I looked at your brief and I don’t think I will be alone in saying I am steering clear! For one, this is a logo design medium, not a 3D rendering competition platform, which many designers including myself are not conversant with. Also to ask to create in the style of “Pixar Cars” is also a copyright risk. You say it’s for personal use and your website. Are you saying you won’t be publishing your website then because if Disney were to find it (a long shot I know), then you could find yourself in a sticky situation.

Just my opinion. Good luck with your competition.

I’m an attorney and under the law I am fair using the Pixar like image of my car. It’s an original design and not Pixar’s. There is no copyright issues involved. As I stated in the contest. I will pay extra money to the winner who goes above and beyond the call of duty in this contest. If you cannot do 3D rendering then don’t enter, this may not be the contest for you. I already have two entries that look great!

Thanks. Again

Rick

@RCD I think we need to be talking about a 2D artwork of 3d style. This site is not intended for creating real 3d artworks or animations.

“Like an animated car: is NOT an animated car. If I have misunderstood the brief, I apologise.

If this is not going to work for you – I’d suggest we close the competition and refund your fee. Just let support@logosauce.com or david@logosauce.com know.

This is going to be a very tough decision. The two entries are both incredible looking and exactly what I was looking for in my car designs.

Wow, I do not know which one to choose.

I’m going to end the contest early. I’ll be on vacation next week, so I’ll most likely pick a winner on August 30 when I get back so get your entries in. I need to see the front and back of the car to make my choice.

Thanks
