The Brief

I’m a 34 year old photographer who just moved cross country to an entirely new market. I’m renaming, and rebranding my business to suit my new market area in Colorado, which is quite a bit different than the Georgia southern belles I’ve been marketing to. You can see my current website and photographic style at www.heatherandkenneth.com

My new business name is Heather Mason Photography. I focus primarily on wedding photography, but I occasionally do corporate work, or family photography as well. I would describe my style as timeless but contemporary. My wedding work tends to be romantic, elegant, and happy.

My new website will be black, gray, and a deep teal. I would like a ‘mark’ of some type that could also be used independently of my full logo. I want feminine, but not girly. I want something that looks expensive, and sophisticated.

Target Audience

I’m targeting mainly 25-40 year old engaged women. I’m particularly interested in targeting clients who are coming into Colorado for destination weddings at the resort areas.

My ideal client is financially independent (i.e. mom and dad aren’t paying for the wedding), a college graduate, mature, sophisticated, elegant, and appreciates classic style. My client goes to the most expensive hair stylist in town, carries an expensive handbag, and cares a lot about fashion.

My work is not the current trend toward vintage, and I really want to avoid that look. I want elegant, expensive, but friendly…not too masculine or stuffy.

Logo Requirements

Logosauce Standard Final Art Requirements: Vector artwork in Pantone SPOT, CMYK, RGB and BW versions. Files should be saved in Adobe Illustrator .ai or .eps file formats with all strokes converted to objects and fonts pathed/outlined. Other file formats may be acceptable in exceptional circumstances.

I really don’t think I want a camera in the logo. It’s been done a few too many times.

I’ll add that I don’t mind design elements, just not cameras. lol A distinctive swirl or something like that might work.

You all are making this incredibly difficult. Too many good options!
