The Washington Student Achievement Council in Washington state is combining two previously separate college-going campaigns: College Application Week and College Goal Sunday.
College Application Week is a national effort to get more students to complete college admissions applications. The event typically takes place in October and encompasses activities related to applying to college. While it’s called College Application Week, more often than not the events take place over the course of a month.
College Goal Sunday is another college-going effort, but this event is about getting students to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). It had a previous brand identity (http://www.collegegoalsundaywa.org) but is now being folded into our other college-readiness programs and needs to be updated.
What we’re looking for is a logo that uses the College Goal Washington name and reflects the state’s efforts to get more students to apply to college and complete the FAFSA.
We recently completed a college & career planning website called Ready Set Grad (www.readysetgrad.org) and we would like that logo to be visually referenced in some way, either through color, shape, or some other fashion.
This logo will be used on statewide marketing materials for both the College Application Week and College Goal Sunday events, as well as on www.readysetgrad.org and partner websites.
The target audiences are as follows:
- Primary: High school seniors
- Secondary: High school teachers and counselors
- Tertiary: Program partners (colleges, universities, community organizations, college access organizations, and other state agencies)
It should appeal to students above all others.
Logosauce Standard Final Art Requirements: Vector artwork in Pantone SPOT, CMYK, RGB and BW versions. Files should be saved in Adobe Illustrator .ai or .eps file formats with all strokes converted to objects and fonts pathed/outlined. Other file formats may be acceptable in exceptional circumstances.
