The Brief

We are working on a new type of unemployment insurance program that goes far above and beyond any other type of program. It is designed to mitigate the damage that short and long term unemployment causes to a person’s finances, family, and career. We want to offer the “Hand up” that the government fails to do.
Our slogan is: “Your Foundation to Financial Protection.”
Our business name is: Bedrock Protection
We want a logo that conveys financial stability, safety, and strength and that we are here for you during a difficult time. The logo should not be overly simple, nor far too complex in design, but leans more towards simple. I would prefer not to have a pillar with our name and logo underneath it.

Target Audience

Target audience is people ages 30- 55, male and female, making 50k or more a year in salary, and in the midst of developing their careers (i.e. Middle Management up to and including Chief Executives).

Logo Requirements

Logosauce Standard Final Art Requirements: Vector artwork in Pantone SPOT, CMYK, RGB and BW versions. Files should be saved in Adobe Illustrator .ai or .eps file formats with all strokes converted to objects and fonts pathed/outlined. Other file formats may be acceptable in exceptional circumstances.

I see very great logos in this contest. I like all works of my colleagues.

Then perhaps it’s time to post mine and ruin it.

Wow! I must say I am not disappointed in the turnout here! All of these designs are excellent. It is going to be very hard deciding which one to settle on. Tremendous job everyone! My business partners and I are meeting today to discuss what we like and provide feedback. I want to thanks everyone so far for their efforts. I will be providing feedback later today so stay turned.

My top 3:

Pro: The incorporation of the chess piece, background-gradient and font
Con: The chess piece looks like a crown when it is small

Pro: The umbrella is a good design with very clean lines and curves, plus it indicates insurance
Con: Could use some color and maybe not use a script style font for the tag line

Pro: Good use of color, symbolism and contemporary shape – (even stands out in gray scale)
Con: Does it appeal to masculine and non-masculine demographic?

Just as an added piece of information to the logo designers since these designs are far beyond my expectations, I would like the logo to stand by itself, with or without the words. Some designs already have this, and I did not realize that was something we wanted when we started this. If I am asking too much, just say “Hell no!” and I will understand. :)

Thanks Everyone!

Hey Everyone. I have selected a few for the Shortlist, as suggested by Digger. Hope this helps.

I had no idea that’s what shortlist did.

Could you leave a feedback on my 2nd entry? I would like to know what to do, Should i develop this idea or move on to something else.

Thank you in advance
